Lately I have been really trying to figure out what it is in a space that provokes sexiness. What makes a person’s mind automatically feel sexy. Yesterday, for example, there was a case about a woman suing her husband because he won’t have sex on an elevator with her and it’s the only place where she could have an orgasm. They asked her what it was about the elevator that provoked these feelings. She said its everything, you’re already in a tight space you are where others have been and there is the anxiety of getting caught. One thing that I think that she missed though is the lighting. We all just saw Black Swan and every scene that was “sexy“began in a dark space… even the dance studio. There was passion and drive that was just plainly HOT! So here’s the big question that I have for all my readers, can light turn you on? It’s said that to a woman when turning on a candle it automatically triggers your mind to say that there will be a form of sensual and close time together, whether its religious, meditative or sexual. So are you seduced?

Breezy Assets
LUSCIOUS is the first word that comes to mind when I look at this space. It has an amazing balance between sexy, seductive and relaxing. I love how clean this space is and as large as it looks it’s only about 9,000 square feet of space. One of my favorite features is the pool; because of its blue teal color of the water it almost mimics a small version of the beach. The pool is small but it is inviting and luxurious, it automatically sets the tone of the space. I am also drawn to the fact that the trees are being incorporated in the space rather than just an accessory to the space. The trees are places in sporadic areas and being used for shade as well as accents to the space. When you go to a beach and you walk around trees are natural almost saving graces to take a nap and enjoy yourself in the breeze; I feel that this space is using this with the same idea in mind. Overall I am in love with this space and give it an A in design and functionality.

Guitty Up!
This absolutely fascinates me!!!!!! This is so creative and crazy imaginative. How many times as a child did you want to ride off in the cart and make your mom put the groceries else where? How many times have you gotten in buggy wars with your friends? This takes all of that to a new level and creates a fun piece of equipment. I would even dare to say that I would even use this as a feature or main idea in a design. All around I give this a huge A!

GAGA Over Alice in Wonderland
If you know anything about me, you will automatically know that one of my favorite children books and poetry come from Alice in Wonderland. I enjoy the magic, colors, imaginations, freedom, and fear that Alice experienced. However as much as I love it, I feel that people mistake it for only the shapes and colors of the mad hatter. Or in other words the shape of his hat and dark tones of pastels.
Perusing around and looking at these images I was immediately captured by the essences that was captured from the actual stories. its edgy with a new twist.
The Urban Loft
The simplicity of this design mixed with the subtle creative touches, I think humble out to an amazing design. This design is located in Ghent and is meant for a guest house which is meant to be clean, homey, and inviting. Clearly more personal touches could be added to add more character, and personality to the space. However I thoroughly enjoy the nice clean edges, the wood mixed with white, and the copper outlines.

A NEW YORK LITERARY HUB INSPIRES A CAFE' DESIGN WITH BOOKS IN MIND
Book readers can sit for hours escaping their everyday life and diving into the lives and activities of the pages in front of them. At no point in time would I ever spend more than 30 minutes in this place. The seats are separated like a grade school student in time out. The seats them selves have no cushion or wiggle room that would allow me to get comfortable and cozy giving me the extra push to want to stay in the space. Overall I feel that idea and creativity of the space are through the roof amazing, yet the practicality and retail mentality are lacking.
Suds Laundrette – Funkiest Laundrette in Melbourne
This funky new design makes doing laundry less of a choir and more of an alternate way to spend your leisure time. The design was apparently aspired by the Alice and Wonderland lawn. The design was further meant to create a social environment for the locals to wash their linens. One of my biggest draws to the design is the amount of space available to fold clothes and move around. All around I give this space a B however, I feel that if they truly wanted a social space they could have added a juice bar or something that will make those doing laundry stay and wait for their clothes.
